STRAIGHTNERS

Q1:          Is a solid ceramic better than a coated ceramic?

Answer:  Top quality solid ceramic is best but good quality coated ceramic plates are better than medium & poor   quality solid plates. Good straightners have glossy, smooth plates.

Q2:           What are the ideal operating tempertures of a straightner?

Answer:    Fine hair:         160-175C

                   Medium hair:  180-195C

                    Thick hair:       190-205C

Q3:              Why have variable heat?

Answer:       Because no one heat us suitable for all hair types. older types of straightnes with older technology dont  have variable heat.

Q4:               Do you recommend different temperatures for different hair types?

Answer:       Definitely....The finer the hair the lower temperature (160-180C) the thicker & unruly the hair the higher the temperature (190-210C).

BLOWDRYER

Q1:                Does the numbers on dryer mean anything? For example, Parlux 3200.

Answer:        Parlx 3200 is the number of the model- it does not represent the number of watts. Watts are shown on the rating label on the appliance.

Q2:                 What is cold button used for?

Answer:         It sets the hair- and locks in the shape and the style.

Q3:                 Is a professional dryer better?

Answer:         Most professioanl dryers are fitted with long life AC motors....they are bigger,heavier,slower revving motors with more torque- they are built for continual use, day in day out.

Q4:                  What is the difference between AC and DC motors?

Answer:          AC means alternating current & DC means direct current. AC motors will last 1000-2000 hours depending on quality. DC motors are small, light, lower priced, fast revving motors usually found in domestic dryers & have a life of approx 600-700hours.

TONGS/CURLING IRONS

Q1:                   If ceramic is better why are metal tongs still made?

Answer:          Metal cost less to make and will still do the job. Ceramic products provide more shine.
